CAMremote ordering
The CAMremote can be customized for different setups depends on camera model, photographing method, used equipment, power source etc. Few examples are here.
Standard set of the CAMremote contains:
- CAMremote-2A Controller
- CR-PC USB Configuration Cable (USB-A to Mini-B)
- 3 JR/Futaba-style 3-wire Cable with female connectors
Note – Standard Set doesn’t contain cable(s) for camera connection
Following cable options are available depending on camera model and method how you intend to control the camera:
- CR-Camera USB Cable for Canon cameras if you intend to use USB/PTP or USB/CHDK method
- Cable with Infrared (IR) LED if you intend to use infrared control method
- Several types of Remote Port cables if you intend to use Remote Port control method
- MULTITERMINAL interface cables if you intend to use Sony Cameras/Camcorders/Binoculars
- LANC interface cables if you intend to use Sony/Canon Camcorders or BlackMagic Pocket/Cinema cameras
Example 1. If you would like to control your Sony NEX-3N, HX50V, HX300, HX400, RX10, RX100II/III/IV, A3000, A5000, A5100, A6000, A6300, FDR-AX100 4K, PXW-X70 or ICLE-A7II/A7RII, ICLE-QX1, DSC-QX30 etc camera via Multiterminal interface and using your own hobby RC radio equipment then you need Standard Set of CAMremote-2 PRO and MULTI cable which allows to control auto focusing, shutter release, movie recording, zoom and camera on/standby. Consider MULTI-USB cable if there is a need to change camera parameters on the fly.
Example 2. If you would like to control your Sony Camcorder with Multiterminal connector and using your own hobby RC radio equipment then you need Standard Set of CAMremote-2 PRO and Multiterminal LANC+A/V cable which allows to control auto focusing, shutter release, movie recording and zoom. Additionally there is 3.5mm jack for composite video signal (useful for video downlink equipment) and audio channel. If you don’t have your own radio then consider our Radio System: 8-button Transmitter+Receiver (4 & 12-button radios are also available) with optional 9V Battery Cable or JST/BEC Battery Cable
Example 3. If you would like to control your BlackMagic Pocket or Cinema camera using your own hobby RC radio equipment then you need Standard Set of CAMremote-2 PRO and LANC interface cable. If you don’t have your own radio then consider our Radio System: 8-button Transmitter+Receiver (4 & 12-button radios are also available) with optional 9V Battery Cable or JST/BEC Battery Cable
Example 4. If you would like to control your Canon DSLR cameras (for example 500D, 550D, 600D, 650D, 700D, 5Dmk2/3, 7D, 60D, etc) via USB then you need:

3. CR-Camera USB+Audio/Video Combo cable (optional if you need composite video signal for monitoring or video downlink)
4. Remote Port Cable N3 or Remote Port Cable E3 (optional if you need fastest possible continuous shooting mode or bulb mode shooting or if automatic camera wake-up is needed. Note camera wake-up is not possible via USB in Canon cameras)
6. Radio System: 8-button Transmitter+Receiver (optional if you don’t have hobby RC radio equipment and need radio control. 4-buttons and 12-buttons radios are also available)
7. 9V Battery Cable or JST/BEC Battery Cable (optional if you don’t use hobby RC radio which could provide power to CAMremote)
Example 5. If you would like to control your Canon G10 camera via USB using Canon’s built in PTP protocol then you need Standard Set of CAMremote-2 PRO and CR-Camera USB Cable for Canon cameras. If you are not going to use hobby RC radio equipment which powers the CAMremote then you may need an extra battery cable to power the CAMremote.
Example 6. If you would like to control your Canon G12 camera via USB using CHDK firmware addon then you need Standard Set of CAMremote-2 PRO and CR-Camera USB Cable for Canon cameras. Copy suitable script into camera’s memory card. If you are not going to use hobby RC radio equipment which powers the CAMremote then you may need an extra battery cable to power the CAMremote.
Example 7. If you would like to control your Panasonic GH4 camera via Remote Port then you need Standard Set of CAMremote-2 PRO and CR-Camera Remote Port Cable for Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 with Zoom support. If shutter speed, aperture, ISO parameters need to be controlled then USB cable for Panasonic is doing the job. If you are not going to use hobby RC radio equipment which powers the CAMremote then you may need an extra battery cable to power the CAMremote. If you need to control additional parameters like aperture, shutter speed and ISO then Panasonic USB cable does the job.
It is possible to customize the cable lengths and connector types to meet specific customer’s needs. Please consider lengths of different cables carefully before buying.

Lead time is typically 3-7 working days + delivery time.
Typical rate of shipping worldwide is starting at 11 EUR up to 27 EUR depends of weigth and parcel will be delivered as a registered Priority mail or Express mail. Tracking is available through Finland postal service in following countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, UK, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland.
Tracking is probably available in other countries as well if your local post service offer tracking service. Visit web page of your local post service and enter tracking ID number into their tracking system.
Delivery from Finland to Europe takes about 3-6 working days, to USA 5-8 working days or even more because of customs. Delivery during November/December may take up to 36 days (outside of EU) due to Christmas rush in postal service.
Optional postal insurance is 5 EUR (European Union but NOT available for UK, Germany) and maximum 27 EUR of outside European Union. Cost may vary so please contact if you are interested to know exact price. Extra cost will be refunded after shipping.
